I once heard a show, possibly from the mid 80's, where Shakedown Street was sung in rounds (like row row row your boat...). Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Yes indeed, I think the one you are looking for is:

Barton Hall, Cornell U on 1981-05-16

Thanks all, those are both great versions. The one I remember had little or no audience noise. When I downloaded it a few years ago the notes said that Bob had it recorded that way to check some instrumentation.
Thanks again

I'm almost certain that you're thinking about 12-31-81, the Jay Serafin source, which is monitor mix Phil had made so everyone could really hear themselves. Nice version of Shakedown, with the "round singing" you mentioned. You can stream it here,:

Read Jay Serafin's verbose notes on his source here,:

or download .shn's here:

i think there are a few of them. naturally, the first one that pops into my mind is 9/18/87 (if that is what you mean - give it a listen) - great version anyways with jerry, bobby, and brent countersync singing

I haven't given this one a listen yet (don't listen to the '80s that much anymore).
But it may be better than the one I just cited - I was just listening to it again and I think Jerry, Bob and Brent only manage to keep the round going for a couple of bars.

If you mean the last refrain, that occurred many many times from 81 on.

Can you think of any instances in which they sustained it more than a few bars? I'm trying to listen to more eighties shows.
